The family of a man who died in a road accident have said he "touched the hearts" of everyone he knew.

Daniel Smith, 36, from Skegness, was killed in the crash involving a motorcycle and a car on the A16 near Spilsby on 12 May.

Mr Smith, who was on the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a tribute released through Lincolnshire Police, his family said he was "a loving and devoted son, brother, partner and dad".

The accident at Partney involved a blue Yamaha motorcycle and a black BMW.

The family statement said Mr Smith, known as Smithy, would help anyone and always thought about his family and friends before himself.

"He brought us so much happiness in his short life [and] gave us four beautiful granddaughters," his family said.

"He has left a hole in all our hearts that can never be filled."

His brother Shan added: "I'll never forget you, brother, and I'll always do my best to be a good uncle to your girls."
