A Rochdale FC player has been summoned to a London court over an allegation of racially aggravated harassment.

Striker Bobby Grant, 22, was issued with a summons following an alleged incident during a game against Dagenham and Redbridge FC on 12 January.

The hearing is scheduled to take place at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on 11 April.

Daggers defender Gavin Hoyte made the allegation to referee Steve Rushton.

The two clubs met at Dagenham's Victoria Road ground for the NPower League Two game which was championed as 'Daggers Against Racism Family Fun Day'.
