Man in court over murder of Linah Keza in knife attack

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman who died in a stabbing in east London.

Linah Keza, 29, was attacked at her home in Leyton at about 04:30 BST on Wednesday and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination, held at Walthamstow Mortuary, found Ms Keza died from stab wounds to the chest.

David Gikawa, 38, of King Edward Road, Leyton, appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

He spoke only to give his name, date of birth and address.

Ms Keza, who was born in Uganda before moving to Rwanda as a teenager and then graduating from the University of Wolverhampton, worked as a model.
