London Routemaster buses may get opening windows

  • Published

Buses with downstairs windows which can be opened could be introduced as part of the New Bus for London scheme, BBC London has learned.

In the summer, passengers complained about high temperatures on board the new Routemaster buses and said the air cooling system was not effective.

About 600 buses are to be rolled out across London by 2016.

Transport for London says no decision has been made and that this is one of a number of alterations being considered.
