St John Ambulance: 1m hours of service during pandemic

Volunteers from St John Ambulance in London have given more than one million hours of their time to support the NHS since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

Since March 2020 volunteers have been helping in hospitals, providing emergency ambulance crews and supporting the vaccination programme.

The charity says it has also seen a 56% increase in staff hours during this time.
