A man who was stabbed to death in his own home in east London has been named as 20-year-old Elliot Francique.
Police are still hunting for a male suspect wanted in connection with the "brutal and targeted" attack on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers said the suspect forced his way into the victim's home in Plaistow and repeatedly stabbed him before fleeing.
Detectives described the suspect as "a black male who was dressed in black".
Police were called to the house at Hudson Close at about 15:30 where Mr Francique was found in his bedroom with multiple knife wounds.
He was pronounced dead by paramedics an hour later.
Det Ch Insp Kelly Allen from the Met Police said the force would examine CCTV and carry out door-to-door inquiries in an attempt to identify the suspect and determine the motive for the killing.
