North Finchley killing: Man dies in street fight

A murder investigation has been launched after a man died following a fight in a north London street.
Officers and paramedics were called to Ballards Lane in North Finchley shortly after 04:00 BST to reports of a disturbance.
The victim was found with a neck injury and he died at the scene. Police are in the process of identifying him.
A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in custody, the Met Police said.
A crime scene has been put in place and extra police officers will be in the area in the coming days, the force added.
Det Ch Insp Linda Bradley said: "This is a tragic incident and we are carrying out a number of inquiries to piece together the circumstances that led to this man losing his life.
"A team of detectives will be in the area today as they collect CCTV and other evidence from the scene and nearby. They have already spoken to several witnesses but I would encourage anyone else with information to contact us immediately."
