Moped rider hit by Metropolitan Police car in Enfield dies in hospital

A man has died after his moped was hit by a police car in Enfield, north London.
The Metropolitan Police vehicle was not involved in a pursuit when the collision happened, on Southbury Road at about 15:00 BST on Thursday, but was on an emergency callout.
London Ambulance Service treated the rider of the moped, a man in his 20s, at the scene but he later died in hospital.
His next of kin have been informed.
Road closures remain in place at the scene.
The circumstances of the crash are being investigated, the Met said.
The Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed and a referral has been made to the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) which will investigate the matter.
