'Chatty benches' encouraging lonely Londoners to talk

In a city of millions, there are many Londoners who feel lonely.

So in an effort to combat social isolation, "chatty benches" have popped up across London to try to get strangers to talk to each other.

One of the latest benches has been unveiled at Westfield shopping centre in Shepherd's Bush, west London, the idea being, if you sit on one of the benches, you're open to having a conversation.
