'We found love in our Doctor Who Shop'

Plenty of Doctor Who fans will have their favourite props and costumes from the show, but not many can say they own a shop full of them.

Doctor Who fan Alexandra Looseley-Saul opened The Who Shop in 1984 after being inspired by a convention in Longleat, Wiltshire. On the shop's opening day, she couldn't have imagined she would meet her future husband, Kevan.

Alexandra and Kevan now both run The Who Shop in Upton Park, east London, which sells merchandise from across the sci-fi show's 60-year history.

The couple, who have amassed a vast number of props and costumes, took the BBC around their collection and explained the role Doctor Who has played in their almost 40-year marriage.
