Imelda Staunton: The Crown star volunteers for Crisis
Imelda Staunton might be better known at the moment for playing Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix series, The Crown, but she's also an ambassador for the homelessness charity Crisis.
Alongside her daughter Bessie, Staunton has been sorting through donations at the charity's Christmas warehouse in Canning Town, east London, ahead of the winter.
The mother and daughter duo prepared welcome packs, wrote Christmas cards and sorted through food and clothing donations before packages were sent out to families at hostels and day centres.
Nearly 250,000 households across England are now experiencing the worst forms of homelessness, with many experiencing their first Christmas without a home, according to Crisis.
