Islington: Murder charge after man dies from stab wounds

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with suspicion of murder after a 21-year-old man died in a stabbing in north London.

The Met Police were called to reports of a fight on Tufnell Park Road in Islington at 19:27 GMT on Monday where the man was found injured.

He was taken to hospital and died in the early hours of Tuesday.

The suspect was arrested suspicion of murder near the scene of the attack and remains in custody in a north London police station.

Formal identification has not yet taken place, however he is believed to be Mohammed Noor, who lived in Islington.

The 21-year-old man's family has been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers, the Met said.

Investigations are ongoing and police have appealed for witnesses.
