Hackney stabbing: Man charged with murder after Boxing Day stabbing

Detectives investigating a fatal stabbing in Hackney on Boxing Day have charged a man with murder.
Jurejs Vankovs, 38, is alleged to have killed Michael Murphy, who was found on Cranwood Street in the early hours of Tuesday with fatal stab wounds.
Mr Vankovs, who is also charged with possession of a bladed article, will appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on 3 January.
Mr Murphy's family continues to be supported by officers, Met Police said.
