Cost of living: Food bank offers 'lifeline' for pet owners

A woman has opened a pet food bank in a bid to help owners struggling with the cost of living.

Shelagh Savage, from Waltham Forest, north-east London, collects donations of pet food and treats from local residents and makes them available to those in need at her local supermarket.

"It's a wonderful feeling when you know that people have a lifeline for their pet," she said.
