A second man has been charged with murder after a stabbing in east London.

Umair Rafiq, 35, is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Monday after the death of Jack Hague, 38, on Corfield Street, in Bethnal Green, on 5 May.

The Metropolitan Police said officers had been called to reports of an alleged fight at about 20:20 BST.

On Friday, Mohammed Ikram Uddin, 24, was charged with murder and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.

Scotland Yard says Mr Hague's family continued to be supported by specially trained officers.

Mr Rafiq is due to appear at the Old Bailey on 15 May.
