Former Happy Mondays dancer Bez is in police custody after he was arrested at London's Euston station.

Bez, 46, was wanted by Greater Manchester Police after he failed to answer bail over allegations he breached a restraining order.

The order relates to his ex-partner Monica Ward, 25, who he was convicted of assaulting in August.

Bez - real name Mark Berry - has been charged with breach of a restraining order and trespass on a railway.

He was arrested by officers from British Transport Police at the railway station earlier.

A transport police spokesman said: "Mark Berry has been charged with breach of a restraining order and trespass on a railway.

"He has also been given a warning under the Harassment Act 1997."

Police were escorting him back to the North West and he is due to appear before Manchester City Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
