Man charged over 999 calls to Greater Manchester Police

A man has been charged after a police force received thousands of nuisance 999 calls over an 18-month period.
When the calls were answered by operators at Greater Manchester Police, a man would chant, sing, rap, preach and play loud music down the line.
The calls were made between January 2009 and June 2010.
Wayne Davis, 43, of Upper Chorlton Road, Old Trafford, has been charged with public nuisance and is due before Trafford magistrates on 16 December.
