An 18-year-old man has been charged with robbery in connection with a raid at a florist shop in Greater Manchester where his brother died of stab wounds.

Kyle Mullings, 18, of no fixed address, is due before Trafford magistrates on Monday, police said.

A 72-year-old shopkeeper has been bailed on suspicion of murder after a suspected armed robber was stabbed.

Gary Mullings, 30, died in hospital following the incident at the shop in Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Cecil Coley, who runs the shop in Shrewsbury Street, was also taken to hospital before being arrested.

He has been bailed until 9 September pending further inquiries.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Mullings, from New Moston in Manchester, died from stab wounds.
