Former world champion boxer Amir Khan has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting two men in Bolton.
Two 19-year-old men were injured in Russell Street just before 01:30 BST, Greater Manchester Police said.
A police spokesman said the men's injuries were not serious, and that Khan had been quizzed by detectives about the assaults.
The 27-year-old, who has been released on bail until mid July, denied any wrong doing via his Twitter account.
The former WBA and IBF light welterweight champion tweeted: "All nonsense please don't believe what you read.
"I'm home with my family and nobody got beat up."
