Manchester introduces 20 mph speed zones

A 20mph speed limit has been introduced on more than a 1,000 roads in Greater Manchester.

Manchester City Council hopes the 20mph zones will cut accident rates in the city.

The new speed limits have been introduced in parts of Hulme, Moss Side, Rusholme, Ancoats, Clayton, Miles Platting, Newton Heath, Longsight, Gorton and Bradford.
