Roy Keane 'road rage' incident investigated by police

Police are investigating an alleged road rage incident in Greater Manchester involving former footballer Roy Keane.

The ex-Manchester United captain is said to have got into an altercation with a taxi driver in Altrincham.

Greater Manchester Police said officers were called at 11:30 GMT about "a report that a man had behaved aggressively towards another man".

A spokesman said police were trying "to establish the exact circumstances".

The 43-year-old, who lives in Hale, has previously managed Sunderland and Ipswich and is currently Republic of Ireland assistant manager.

He has also worked as a football pundit for ITV.
