A fire has torn through a pub in Salford just four days after it closed down.
About 30 firefighters were called at 01:30 BST to deal with the blaze at Sam Platt's pub in Trafford Wharf Road.
The first floor and roof of the building, which is believed to have been empty, were well alight when crews arrived, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said.
No injuries have been reported. Trafford Wharf Road remains closed.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the blaze.
Smoke billowed from the pub overnight
The incident was scaled down at 05:30 BST but firefighters are still at the scene dealing with pockets of fire, GMFRS said.
The pub shut its doors on Sunday, according to the business's page on Facebook, external.
It is located close to Old Trafford and was a popular match day venue for Manchester United fans.
The blaze caused extensive damage to the roof
