Murder arrests over Ashton-under-Lyne shooting

Greater Manchester Police have launched a murder investigation
A man in his 30s has died after being shot in Greater Manchester.
Armed officers attended following the shooting on Birch Street in Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, at 16:50 BST.
Greater Manchester Police said the man later died of his injuries in hospital and two men, aged 29 and 32, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Det Ch Insp Alan Clitherow said a murder investigation has been launched and asked anybody with information to "get in touch as a matter of urgency".
A cordon remains in place on Birch Street and Pelham Street and officers will remain at the scene throughout Wednesday evening, police said.
The men remain in custody for questioning.
