Covid: Last orders for Manchester's bars under new rules

Many bars in Manchester served their last orders for at least a month, after tier three restrictions were imposed on the city at midnight.

The tier three alert level means people cannot mix with other households and pubs and bars will be closed - unless they are serving substantial meals.

Business owners in the city have raised concerns about the new rules.

Owner of Bar Pop, John Hamilton, said the restrictions "could kill" many independent hospitality venues.
