Murder arrest after woman found dead in Stockport

A murder investigation has been launched after the death of a woman.
The 31-year-old died at about 01:15 GMT in Bateson Street, Stockport, Greater Manchester Police said.
A 36-year-old man has been held on suspicion of murder and is in custody, the force added.
Police said they believed it was an "isolated incident" and extra officers would be on patrol. They appealed for anyone with information and footage to contact them.
