Storm Henk: Flooding disrupts Greater Manchester travel
- Published
Flooding has disrupted travel in Greater Manchester.
It has caused issues on some railway lines at Gathurst, Wigan, meaning services will be running non-stop between Wigan Wallgate and Appley Bridge, National Rail said.
A lane on the M62 westbound between junction 19 at Heywood and junction 18 (M66) at Simister Island has also been closed.
It comes as Storm Henk has battered parts of the UK.
Gusts of more than 80mph (128km/h) hit large parts of England and Wales, but the worst of the storm has now passed and a Met Office amber warning has ended.
