A police constable has appeared in court to face a charge of sexually assaulting a young girl while on duty.
PC Dean Dempster is alleged to have sexually touched the six-year-old while on duty in Oldham on 29 December 2023.
The Greater Manchester Police officer has also been charged with misconduct in a public office.
At Liverpool Crown Court, Judge David Swinnerton remanded him in custody ahead of a trial at the same court on 19 June.
The 34-year-old, of Langford Road, Manchester, was arrested on New Year's Eve and will face a further hearing on 23 February.
PC Dempster, who joined the force in 2021 after serving as a special constable and ambulance service paramedic, has been suspended from duty.
The force previously said misconduct proceedings would resume upon the conclusion of the criminal case.
