Manchester Piccadilly: Power restored after train disruption

Rail passengers faced rush hour delays and cancellations due to a power failure with overhead wires near Manchester Piccadilly station.

Network Rail said engineers had repaired the problem which was affecting services through platforms 13 and 14 earlier.

The rail network operator apologised for the disruption., external

"We're really sorry if your journey has been disrupted this morning," a spokesperson said.
