A 12-year-old girl has suffered life-changing injuries after being hit by a van at a drive-through restaurant.

Greater Manchester Police said the schoolgirl was seriously injured at Tim Hortons fast food restaurant on Manchester Road in Oldham, on Friday.

The girl was treated in hospital after the 15:00 GMT crash at the Canadian restaurant in the Hollinwood area.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving.
