Anger as Salford parking congestion leaves bins unemptied

Residents of an estate plagued by parking congestion have said they have not had their bins collected due to the council lorries struggling for access.
People in parts of Salford's Orsdall estate said they have been left blocked in by cars parked up by residents living elsewhere.
Salford Council is set to introduce new restrictions to tackle the problem.
One resident said some drivers were using the area as a "park and ride" for Manchester city centre.
Cath McLoughlin said: "They say 'I'm not paying so much a month when I can park here for free' and then park and take the tram to town."
Meme Albaghdady of Percy Drive, Orsdall said the situation was "horrible".
People move the bins to park and "keep throwing trash on the road", he said.
Bin lorries have turned away from Robert Hall Street, Percy Drive and Paris Avenue after struggling to get past cars parked on either side of the road.
John Naylor, who lives on Paris Avenue, said there were days when "you can't get your own car out of the driveway".
"It's the flats nearby with nearly all two-car families. They don't pay for parking so park outside other people's homes," he said.
"I ask them all the time why and they just swear at you and make remarks."
