A man has been charged with murder following the death of an 82-year-old man who was found critically injured at his home.

John Neil was taken to hospital after being discovered on Riddings Road, Timperley, Greater Manchester on 9 July last year.

He died shortly after, police said.

Colin Neil, 50, also of Riddings Road, is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court charged with murder.
