Rochdale by-election: Polls close after voting finishes

The polls have closed in a by-election to select a new MP for Rochdale.
It will decide who replaces veteran Labour MP Sir Tony Lloyd, who died on 17 January, days after announcing he had an incurable form of leukaemia.
There were 11 candidates on the ballot paper and each had provided the BBC with minute manifestos.
Polling stations opened at 07:00 GMT and closed at 22:00, with results expected early on Friday morning.
