Wythenshawe Bus Station is shut while police investigate the attack

A bus station was closed after a man was attacked in the early hours of the morning.

The Wythenshawe transport hub in Manchester was shut down following the assault, which happened on a bus at about 04:25 GMT and left a man with injuries to his head and face.

Greater Manchester Police said another man was arrested after the attack.

Bus passengers have been asked to use the stop at the Wythenshawe Forum, but tram services are not affected.
