A teenager who got stuck in a child's swing on a playground in Merseyside had to be rescued by firefighters.

Firefighters were called just before 12:45 BST to the park near Alfonso Road in the Kirkdale area of Liverpool.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Fire Service said it is thought the 14-year-old had climbed into the swing and got his legs stuck.

Firefighters took 20 minutes to manoeuvre him out of the swing. The boy was unharmed.
