A fugitive wanted over a knife attack on a man in Liverpool has been arrested in Amsterdam.
James 'Pancake' Taylor, 34, has been wanted since the attack at a restaurant in the city in 2010.
Armed officers surrounded him as he left a gym to cycle home earlier, Merseyside Police said.
They said they were working with the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) and European authorities to extradite him to the UK for questioning.
A handgun, ammunition and fake ID documents were found in the luxury apartment, detectives said.
Dave Allen, head of the fugitives unit at SOCA, said: "There is no such place as a safe haven for fugitives on the run."
