A further three people have been arrested after a teenager was shot dead in a Liverpool street.

Vincent Waddington, 18, was found with serious gunshot wounds following a crash between a car and a scrambler bike in Banks Road, Garston on Tuesday.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

A man aged 31 and a 32-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. They were later released without charge.

A 25-year-old man from Speke, arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday, has been released on bail.

A post-mortem examination concluded Mr Waddington died as a result of gunshot injuries.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them or Crimestoppers.
