Toxteth death: Murder probe after man 'stabbed' at party

A murder investigation has been launched into the death of a man at a party in Liverpool.
Police received reports that a man had been stabbed at a house on Oakham Street, Toxteth, at about 06:15 BST.
The 26-year-old, who has yet to be formally identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Det Ch Insp Richie Jones said the motive for the attack was "currently unknown" and the cause of his death had yet to be established.
He added the force were "keeping an open mind" about what happened and ""working hard" to find those responsible "for the tragic death of this young man".
A force spokesman said the house had been cordoned off for "forensic enquiries".
He added that police wanted to speak to anyone who was at the party.
