Stockbridge Village shooting leaves teenager dead

A teenager has been shot dead in a "callous" attack in Merseyside, police have said.
The 19-year-old was found injured in Boode Croft, Stockbridge Village, at about 18:30 GMT on Thursday.
Paramedics provided CPR at the scene but he was later pronounced dead, Merseyside Police confirmed.
A 33-year-old man, from Huyton, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody for questioning.
Det Chf Insp Cath Haggerty said: "This was a callous attack carried out on a residential street which has brought tragedy to the heart of a community in Merseyside."
The area has been cordoned off and extra patrols have been sent to the surrounding streets.
A Home Office post-mortem examination will be carried out to establish the cause of death, and the victim's next of kin have been informed, police have said.
