Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel inspires cinema's look

A cinema has turned to one of Hollywood's most recognisable directors for inspiration for its look.

The six-screen Picturehouse in Chester, part of Cheshire West and Chester Council's Northgate development, has a design influenced by eccentric auteur Wes Anderson's unique style and his 2014 film The Grand Budapest Hotel.

The film won Oscars for its costume and production design and nods to its colourful sets are dotted throughout the cinema's interior.
