A 19-year-old man, who filmed himself sexually assaulting a girl while she was asleep, has been found guilty of rape.
Before the trial, William Studley admitted sexual assault and making indecent images of the teenage victim but denied rape.
Police officers found footage of the assault in Chester in April 2022 on his mobile phone.
He was convicted of one count of rape at Chester Crown Court.
Studley was found not guilty of a second count of rape after the three-day trial.
Jurors heard the victim attended a party in Frodsham, Cheshire, before returning to Studley's home in Chester with a friend.
'Truly horrifying'
She became unwell and fell asleep alone in a bedroom but later awoke to find Studley raping her and told him to stop, Cheshire Police said.
The court heard Studley ran out of the room but returned a short time later and sexually assaulted her.
The victim reported the attack the following day.
Following Studley's arrest, officers discovered footage which showed him sexually assaulting the victim while she slept.
He denied raping the victim but was found guilty by the jury.
Det Sgt Courtney Day said: "Studley believed that he was above the law and thought that he could do whatever he wanted.
"What Studley put the victim through is truly horrifying but thanks to the courage the victim has shown, he is now facing the consequences of his actions."
He is due to be sentenced at Chester Crown Court on 9 February.
