Kirkby house where grenade was found targeted for a third time

A house where a grenade was found has been targeted for a third time, police say.
Merseyside Police is appealing for information after the unoccupied property in Kirkby was set on fire last week.
It is the latest in a number of incidents at the property, which police believe are targeted.
In September last year a grenade was found at the house and local residents were evacuated while it was detonated.
Also in September, two males were seen setting fire to the house on Millbrook Drive. No one was injured and there was slight damage to the property.
The latest arson attack happened on 20 January.
Two males, dressed in black with their faces covered, were seen on a motorbike before making off towards Hall Lane, police said.
Damage was caused to the property but no one was injured in the attacks.
Det Insp Jimmy Rotheram said those behind the attacks were putting themselves and people living nearby at risk.
"I must stress that on all three occasions the offenders put lives at risk from their dangerous acts," he said.
"Residents were put under threat and they had to be evacuated from their homes as the grenade could have gone off, and the fire could have spread to neighbouring homes.
"Thankfully no one was injured from any of the attacks but we need to find the perpetrators so they cannot do any further harm in our communities."
Anyone who saw two males acting suspiciously in the area of Millbrook Drive at around 21:30 GMT onwards on Saturday 20 January is asked to contact the force.
