Convicted drug dealer Curtis Warren is facing additional charges for allegedly breaching a Serious Crime Prevention Order (SCPO).

The court order imposes a number of restrictions on his movements, ability to travel, finance, and business dealings.

Warren has previously been charged with 11 breaches of the order.

The 60-year-old was told he was being charged with a further seven counts at a police station yesterday.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) said the fresh charges relate to alleged breaches involving communications devices, vehicles, banking, property and cash between May 2023 and January 2024.

Warren, originally from Toxteth in Liverpool but now living in Widnes, Cheshire, appeared in Liverpool Crown Court on 11 January in relation to the 11 charges that were laid in November.

They include allegations of failing to notify the authorities of:

  • a change of communication device

  • use of credit cards

  • having set up a business

  • the true nature of the business

  • an application for a passport

He is also alleged to have breached the order by having more than £1,000 in his possession and failing to declare his income.

Other charges relate to allegations he failed to notify the authorities he had access to multiple vehicles, or to tell them about his travel arrangements while out of the UK.

It is also alleged that he was away from his home address for more than 24 hours, and that he changed his home address.

During the brief hearing he was not asked to enter any pleas but a provisional trial date was set for 12 August, with a further pre-trial hearing set for 3 June.

The original SCPO was imposed following Warren's release from prison in November 2022.

The NCA said Warren remains on bail and will appear before magistrates in relation to the fresh charges on a date to be set.
