Boy, 12, suffers neck injury in Liverpool school attack

A 12-year-old boy has suffered a neck injury after being attacked at a school by two fellow pupils during a break, police have said.

Merseyside Police said the boy was assaulted on the grass outside a school building at Dixons Croxteth Academy in Liverpool at 13:00 GMT.

The force said he was taken to hospital after the attack on Carr Lane East.

No arrests have been made, and a police spokeswoman said inquiries into the attack were ongoing.
