New Thetford recycling centre could have shop

A second-hand goods and bric-a-brac shop could be opened at a planned £1.1m household waste recycling centre.
A share of the profits from the shop at the new centre in Thetford would be offered to community groups.
Norfolk County Council said it intended to submit a planning application for the proposed site in June.
It aims to create eight large centres across Norfolk to divert waste from landfill and cut disposal costs.
Second hand items such as good quality non-electrical household items and bric-a-brac would be available to buy.
The location of the proposed new recycling centre is planned for the Telford Way Industrial Estate.
Ann Steward, cabinet member for sustainable development said: "A new recycling centre in Thetford is part of our commitment to push up reuse and recycling rates in the county and reduce the amount of rubbish we send to landfill.
"Thetford needs a new recycling centre because the existing site can't deliver the level of service which residents want."
