The Football Association is to start an inquiry into violence at a semi-final game in Norfolk.

Rival football fans clashed at the FA Vase semi-final between King's Lynn and Coalville at the Walks on Saturday.

In a statement the FA said: "The referee has reported the incident of crowd disturbance.

"We will be writing to both clubs for their observations. It is not scenes we want to see in one of our flagship competitions."

Two men were arrested after missiles were thrown as rival fans clashed. More than 30 police officers were drafted in during Coalville's 3-2 defeat of the Linnets.

Police said they would use CCTV footage to identify those involved in disorder.

A 23-year-old man from King's Lynn and a 22-year-old man from Coalville have been released on bail.
