Third man charged over Buxton 'bomb alert'

Six nearby properties were evacuated while police dealt with the device

A third man has been charged in connection with the discovery of a suspicious device under a car in a Norfolk village.

Milos Gontkovic, 25, of no fixed address, is charged with doing an act with intent to cause an explosion likely to endanger life.

He was remanded in custody by Norwich magistrates to attend Norwich Crown Court on 6 February.

Two other men have been charged in connection with the device's discovery.

It was found by police in Coltishall Road, Buxton, on 2 September last year.

Earlier hearings

People had to leave six nearby properties while Army bomb disposal officers dealt with the device.

In December Jonathan Taylor, 49, of Southwell Road, Norwich, admitted doing an act with intent to cause an explosion likely to endanger life.

He also admitted possession of a prohibited weapon and was remanded in custody at Norwich Crown Court.

He will be sentenced on 27 January.

Paul Gregory, 30, of Middleton's Lane, Hellesdon, near Norwich, has been charged with possessing an explosive substance.

He is due before Norwich Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing on 8 March.
