King's Lynn incinerator: Saddlebow inquiry opens

The public inquiry into plans for a controversial £500m waste incinerator proposal in King's Lynn has resumed.
The plan is backed by Norfolk County Council but is opposed by West Norfolk Council. In a poll 65,000 residents voted against the plans.
Corey Wheelabrator, the consortium behind the plans, opened proceedings at the West Norfolk Professional Development Centre earlier.
It is anticipated the inquiry will last until 19 April.
Hundreds of people attended the first day of the inquiry last Tuesday.
Lawyers for the four main parties - Cory Wheelabrator, Norfolk County Council, King's Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council (KLWBC) and the campaign group King's Lynn Without Incineration (KLWIN) - made their opening statements.
Corey Wheelabrator and the county council are for the incinerator, KLWBC and KLWIN are against the plans.
