Man charged over serious assault in Great Yarmouth remanded

A man charged over a serious assault which has left the victim in a critical condition has been remanded in custody.
Emergency services were called to Regent Road in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, at 12:07 GMT on Friday, where a man in his 50s was found seriously injured.
A man from the seaside town appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, Norfolk Police said.
He was remanded until his next court appearance, the force added.
A second man, in his 20s, was released on bail with conditions until March, while inquiries continued.
The injured man remained at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, police said.
