No further action will be taken against five men arrested on suspicion of assault after a man died of injuries sustained near a pub.

Neil McGibbon, 58, was treated in Bridge Street, Loddon, close to the King's Head pub, on 10 November but died three days later in hospital.

Norfolk Police arrested and questioned five men, all aged in their 20s, before releasing them on bail.

Following an investigation, police said the men would face no further action.

A file would be prepared for the coroner in due course, the force said.

A 58-year-old man, from Chedgrave, was charged with a common assault offence against a man in his 20s in connection with the incident, Norfolk Police said.

He is expected to appear before Norwich Magistrates Court on 10 April.
