Teen charged with Thetford attempted murder absconds

A 17-year-old boy charged with attempted murder has absconded from local authority care where he had been remanded.
He was arrested after a man in his 30s was stabbed multiple times in Thetford, Norfolk, on 10 March.
Police arrested the teenager in Kent on 23 April and he appeared before Norwich Magistrates' Court two days later.
Norfolk Police said he had absconded on Saturday and a search was ongoing to find him.
He was next due to appear at Norwich Crown Court on 23 May, reported the Eastern Daily Press, external.
A spokesperson for Norfolk County Council said: "We are aware of a young person who absconded from a placement. We are working closely with Norfolk Police and other partners to find this young person safely and swiftly."
"Anyone who has any information about the whereabouts of this individual should contact Norfolk Police."
Elvis Price, 18, was also arrested in connection with the stabbing and charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife or sharp pointed article in a public place.
He was remanded into custody after appearing at Norwich Magistrates' Court.
